After no response to my email all it took was a call for an estimate. The technician (Derek) was there in an hour. 20 minute evaluation and an estimate. He was thorough and explained the option and we figured out what I needed. Now I will see how it compares to the competition.

Joe is the best! If I could give this man a salary raise, I would; no question! He’s knowledgeable and accessible plus he teaches as he works, which is a lost quality. Hoping his team follows his lead and gets us our new door and opener soon.

We had the a new door and garage opener put in May, had to call for a board that was cracked and they remounted rail. I was real happy that Joe explained what had happen and repaired it. Thank you Joe!

I selected Precision because of the Google review and Google guarantee. My experience was very positive. They arrived next day in less than 24 hours on time or actually early to their 12-4 appointment window, 12:10 PM to be exact. The technician was extremely informative, thorough and expert and professional. He made the necessary repair and tuned up (i.e. adjusted, lubricated and re-programed all remotes). I would estimate he was here just over an hour. However, the Precision service call charge went from $69.95 to $284.90! So to sum up this review the service was outstanding but not cheap! The 4 stars is solely related to price.

Joe did not mention that you offer a senior citizen discount. I am a senior citizen and would like the discount applied to the purchase that I made this morning with Precision Doors.

The two technicians are very on time, friendly, informative and patient! I enjoyed my experience with...But the name of the company confused me, which made me think it was the same as the brand name Overhead Door... Actually there wasn't any installation or repairing happening this time, but a free assessment and quote ,which was a nice and reasonable service, except that the quote for replacing the box and sensors are over my budget at present.

Professional-looking ad, 24/7 service, serving Fitchburg drew me to Precision Service. The cost advantage was most important to me, using two coupons in the ad. However I was only allowed to use one, which was not clearly stated, so that changed the total amount due. The technician, Kurt, was awesome! He accomodated masking and distancing. He clearly explained what would need to be done to make my garage door operate safely, answered all my questions, and completed the job in a timely manner.

2 fine gentlemen came for a estimate on a door, like their style and approach. Stu and Mark are good examples for your company.

The work performed was done to satisfaction, I will say the the price did seem high. I went through home advisor and after booking received lower quotes

Everything went well. I thought the repair man was trying to take advantage of me. I was quoted one price on the phone and he wanted to perform more than what i needed for a hefty price.

Broken torsion spring on 18-year-old door. Pros: Precision clearly stated prices over the phone, came the next day and performed repairs in less than an hour at the quoted price. Cons: As other reviewers have stated, there is significant effort to upsell, and the pitch has a high BS quotient. As a degreed engineer with decades of machine design experience, I had no trouble sorting the necessary repairs and quality parts from the less necessary and high profit margin add-ons.

I called Precision on Friday at 1:30pm because I needed same day service and I was drawn to Precision’s advertising promising same day service. Unfortunately, they could not get me in on Friday and I was scheduled for Saturday between 4pm and 6pm. My garage had to remain open all night which made me nervous. Stu contacted me on Saturday at roughly 3pm telling me he would be there at 4pm. When I arrived, he was there and he already had three repair options to show me on his IPAD. The prices for all three options were much higher than I expected however, based on Stu’s recommendation, I chose the “Best” option. Stu was knowledgeable, polite and efficient. He completed the job by 5:15pm. He explained the lifetime warranty to me and based on the system he installed, I am confident that I will not be having any garage door issues for a long time. The overall service/experience with Precision was very good and I would recommend Precision to a friend.

I chose Precision Door due to the positive comments on your website and your A+ rating from the BBB. I was in need of a garage door repair. You were prompt and able to visit my property the same day. I found the serviceman, Alex, to be knowledgeable and honest. He ended up replacing my opener and the seeing eyes. He explained things and talked about what I might expect in the future due to the age of the door and other components. The only negative comment would be regarding my initial call to request an appointment. During the conversation, I asked what the trip charge was and it was stated that it's $69.95. There was no mention at that time of the $15 fuel/environment charge. This should be made clear up front by the person answering the phone. OR just change your trip charge! I will likely use you again because Alex was great!

in the past week, my garage door opened twice - the first time I was at home, the second time I came home to find it open. The service guy Alex (very nice guy) said he felt that replacing the "mother board" would correct the problem. I have still been un-plugging it at night, but so far the couple I have left the house and came back the door was still closed. Hope the problem is corrected, I guess time will tell.

When I called for the repair service, had difficulty with the ability to hear the call taker and I was not fully certain if my needs were met. The repairman did call to confirm the appointment and was on time. He was neat, clean and polite. I found him to be attentive to my requests and knowledgeable in his trade. I would not hesitate to use the company or repairman again.

New opener, rollers and bearings. Steve did a great job and was well informed. He performed the new install in a timely manner. As with everything, cost was a bit higher than anticipated.

Very efficient service. I called Thursday night and had an appointment for Friday afternoon. The service man was very friendly and knowledgeable. He did a great job and was efficient himself. My only complaint is that there is a $70 trip charge in addition to labor and parts. I feel if you choose to have the work done, the trip charge should be waived. Otherwise, my small 30 minute job still cost over $200. The part was $80 or $90, The rest labor and trip charge.

We really like the door..exactly what we wanted. It works very smooth. The door took a little long to get in but worth the wait. It is a very large door and it took a few time to tweek it to get it right. They came right out and got it done. The best part is they returned my calls and answered any questions quickly. I would use them again...Ron K. Sun Prairie

Very satisfied with this company. Turns out all we needed to do was change the battery in our keypad. So I would have given them 5 stars if they had made that suggestion on the phone before coming out. On the other hand, they did not charge us for labor, just the call out. And, in fairness, they did sort out a possible misalignment in the magic "eyes".

For the most part I am satisfied. The workers were terrific, friendly, clean, efficient and explained everything. My two concerns are that the metal vertical supports on the inside of the door appear to be thinner and cheaper than on my old door, and the price was quite high. I was in a hurry to get it fixed but if you have the time I would highly recommend getting multiple estimates.
- James Martine
James, Thank you for your feedback. That is a very good question. Years ago the vertical supports in older doors were much heavier, depending upon the thickness of the steel. The vertical supports do not actually bear any weight of the door, they are there for structural integrity. Some manufacturers would put heavier supports to compensate for the thinner steel skins. The older more heavier vertical supports also put undo weight and stress on the door and springs, causing them to have a shorter life span. Our doors are a 25 gauge steel skin which keeps its structural integrity better on its own without adding additional weight of heavy supports.

$490 is alot to pay for 2 cable assemblies and reset Springs. Jezrel is an asset to your company. Very polite and very knowledgeable at what he does.
- Rollie Truehl
Thank you for the review. I realize that the cost you paid may seem expensive, however we have superior products and have the warranties to back them up. Sometimes "peace of mind" is worth the expense.

The technicians were excellent - very knowledgable, friendly, polite & timely. They called before arriving and got the job done in good time. Very pleased with my experience. I was a bit startled by the cost, though. I wish the customer service folks had mentioned how much it would cost for the counter balance reset of the springs (an unexpected $150 added to my bill at the end - ouch - just to reset the springs we already have, no new springs included in the purchase cost). I don't know much about garage doors, but it seems to me that this should have obviously been included in a rough, verbal estimate over the phone and it wasn't. It nearly doubled the amount I was expecting to pay. So, just beware of this added cost. Looking at other company estimates to reset springs, this is definitely on the higher end of what I'm finding.
- Julie
Julie, often times it is hard to determine the work involved over the phone with cable issues. That is why, once we have done our inspection and recommendations, you are in complete control of whether you would like to move forward with the repair or not based on the costs.
