The technician just left. He replaced the spring but more work was needed than I anticipated. I could see it was necessary however, as he explained it very well. I am pleased with the work and definitely think the service was 5 star.

I am satisfied with the work performed. However, I paid $563 to have two springs replaced. It seemed very high so I did some research afterwards and found that the cost ranged from $185 - $250. I wish I would have done my research ahead of time so that is my fault. Mike was very professional and did complete the job very quickly. In the past I have had good experience using home advisors....this is not one of them.

Thank you for your feedback. In regards to doing your research on springs....do the springs have the same life span?.....do they have the same guarantee?.....do the prices include installation? Please consider all of these when determining if the price is fair and reasonable. All products are not the same.

The spring broke on my garage door after 50 yrs and Precision had a full page add in the Sun Prairie phone book that said they repaired or installed a new one - so I called, they came to look at it the same day and told me it would cost 1/2 as much to fix as to buy a new one - and probably couldn't get the same rollers - too old. So Mike Z gave me an estimate and rather then get more estimates and wait longer just called the next day and ordered a new one. Steve installed in 4 hours and told me how to oil it and it looks great and is much quieter then the old one. It was time.

The gentleman arrived and checked the door over even though it worked when he got there (of course I had not opened it for 3 days) he checked it over and told me I needed new rollers and explained why, the old ones were made of plastic and the metal rails would freeze and so would the rollers. He gave me the cost said he would have it fixed in 30 minutes and he did. The door opens and is so quiet now, he asked me why I called them, My neighbor had given me there name as he had used this company before. He said to be sure to call if I needed any thing else. Great job.

We had our garage door fixed twice this past summer by another company out of Cross Plains and it never worked right. So, I just looked in the Home Pages in the Sun Prairie directory and saw Precision's big add with a $20 off coupon.

I was dissatisfied with the delivery of service. The window was from 10-12 we rearranged an appointment and waited the morning. The technician called arount 2PM stating he was running late and would be there in a half hour. We understand schedules are sometimes unpredictable but when he knew he was not going to make it by 12 we should have recieved a phone call to let us know this.......This was a return call as the opener needed to be reset from the day before-- Other than this we were satisfied with the price, knowledge and workmanship from the technician the day before---the second day was a different technician...... The day before I was impressed that the technician called after being notified that the problem was completely fixed. This is the type of service I appreciate. Thank you, Joy Ninedorf

I appreciated the same day service and they were on schedule as told. The work was performed professionally and to my satisfication. The tech gave the suggestion that the whole hardware system, because of its age, would be a good idea to replace. It was a little more costly but, now it is guaranteed as long as I live in my home which is a load off my mind that this will not have to be a cost in the future.

I called for repair of a broken spring. A service tech was at our door within hours. The cost was several times what I had expected, and included new rollers which I agreed to but was not totally convinced we needed. After 2 months since the call I can say that the garage door operates better than new. As I write this it is -15 degrees outside and thanks to the new rollers the mechanism is completely noiseless, which it never was before. We are very satisfied with the work performed and definitely recommend Precision.

Mike came out and assessed our garage door issues right away, we determined we needed a new garage door. Mike was very courteous and well informed, he has a wealth of knowledge regarding garage doors. The new door was installed 2 days later by Steve. Steve was also very courteous and also has a wealth of knowledge about installation of garage doors. He was prompt and completed the installation in great time. Precision Door has been blessed with employees that are prompt, courteous,timely and very personable. I think this is a very good quality in a company and I will be happy to do business with you in the future for all my garage door needs. Thank you for providing such valuable service.

I clicked the four star response because Ken seemed really honest and sincere. Ken checked the opener and the garage door springs and made some adjustments on the opener that he said should help. He did note that the garage door springs were beginning to weaken but when I asked him if they should be replaced he said that he really could not make that call. Later when I read his comments on the safety checklist he recommended that the springs should be replaced. I wish he would have given me that response when I asked, because with that answer I definitely would have had them replaced. Instead I just paid him for a service call. Again, Ken is very amiable and seems like a very honest and sincere person. I just wish he would have recommended that I replace the Garage Door Springs while he was here. Jerry

Our service technician was great. My wife said he was very polite and professional. We have used your service twice and would continue to do so. The only reccomendation I had to improve it was surrounding a Facebook coupon offer you have. We had liked you guys on Facebook to receive a $30 off coupon. I printed that coupon at work, but forgot to give it to my wife today. The technician was very polite but explained that without a printed version of that coupon, they could not honor it. We had used your services at another location in Madison about a year ago and was very impressed with the quality of work, service and professional manner as to which the technicians handled themselves. Today my problem was a broken spring. Stu inspected the door, spring and rollers. He was very professional and honest in explaining why the rollers should also be replaced because of their age and that too much stress was being put on the door. Stu's workmanship and pride in what he is doing came across very strong. I would recommend your services to anybody and if and when I ever need service again, we will call Precision.
